Betta fish is also known as Siamese fighting fish. Betta splendens is a scientific name used for betta fish. Betta fish is famous due to their morphology, containing beautiful and diverse colors. This fish is also known widely due to their aggression level.

·       Giant betta

The albino betta fish are white and have no pigmentation at all. Breeding albino betta fish is difficult as they are highly susceptible to UV light which often results in the fish going blind at a young age.

Black is the standard color of bettas fish. Melano betta fish are the most popular due to their rich black color. The black lace betta fish isn’t as dark as the melano, but they are more common as the females are not infertile. There are several blackfish available in the market that is bi-color or marble.

·       Blue betta

Blue betta fish looks so beautiful and elegant because of their blue color. The royal blue bettas have vibrant blue hues. Blue betta is not rare fish and is not expected to be. They are not hard to find in the market.

·       Clear betta

Albino betta fish have no pigmentation, so people get mistaken about clear betta. The clear betta also has no pigmentation, but they contain translucent skin. These fish have a soft pink coloring, but their color does not come from their skin tone. Instead, the face of the fish's insides is visible through their skin.

·       Green betta

Green betta fish have green color but are also available in different shades. One of the unique characteristics of green betta is that they have a metallic wash that glows in the light.

·       Orange betta

Typically think of an orange fish. It is the Common Goldfish that comes to mind. However, solid orange betta fish resembling a goldfish's coloring is rare. There is also a second betta fish within the orange color category commonly referred to as the orange dalmatian. These fish are technically considered a bi-color variety.
